Beaujolais Nouveau Day 2026 Is Nov. 19: Two Wine Nights Near Haddonfield Before Thanksgiving
The new Beaujolais lands the week before Thanksgiving. Here are two verified wine nights close to home, with dates and prices.
Beaujolais Nouveau Day falls on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2026, the traditional third Thursday of November. In Center City, the French-American Chamber of Commerce pours the first 2026 Georges Duboeuf Nouveau at its Savor Soirée that night. A day earlier, Randall's Restaurant in Cherry Hill hosts a Holiday Winefest with more than 100 wines. Both are a short trip from Haddonfield and land right before Thanksgiving shopping.
What Beaujolais Nouveau actually is
It's a young red from France's Beaujolais region, made from Gamay grapes and released just weeks after harvest. The Chamber describes it as bright and low in tannin, meant to be drunk now, a little chilled. It is not a wine to cellar. It's a wine to open.
The Chamber's note on this year: a hot, dry season meant smaller yields, with young wines showing black cherry and blackberry. Treat that as the host's pitch, not a review.
Thursday, Nov. 19: Savor Soirée in Philadelphia
- What: the 36th annual Savor Soirée, hosted by the French-American Chamber of Commerce's Philadelphia chapter.
- When: 6 to 8 p.m.
- Where: 1324 Locust Street, Philadelphia. The Chamber suggests the Juniper and Locust iParkit garage across the street at 1327 Locust.
- What's poured: the first tasting of the 2026 Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau, boutique wines from France, Italy and Pennsylvania, plus local beer and cider. There's a French style appetizer and dessert buffet and a signature mocktail.
- Cost: early bird $120 for non-members and $95 for members. Prices go up $20 per person after Nov. 13 at 5:01 p.m.
Fair warning: it's a business networking night as much as a wine night. If you like meeting people, that's a bonus.
Wednesday, Nov. 18: Holiday Winefest in Cherry Hill
- What: Randall's Holiday Winefest, more than 100 wines from around the world with complimentary appetizers, passed bites, and chocolate and cheese pairings.
- Where: Randall's Restaurant, 300 E. Evesham Road, Cherry Hill.
- When: starts at 5:30 p.m. Randall's page lists the end time as both 7:30 and 8 p.m., so confirm when you book.
- Good to know: it's standing and high tops, not a seated dinner. Dinner after requires a reservation. Holiday wine bundles are for sale, which makes it an easy way to sort out what to bring to Thanksgiving.
- Cost: not listed on the event page. Call 856-267-0573.
Can't make either?
Pick up a bottle and make your own Thursday of it. Give it a light chill, open it with a weeknight dinner, and call it a tradition.
