Feed My Starving Children MobilePack Nov. 13 and 14: How to Volunteer in Haddonfield
The Haddonfield Council of Churches hosts its annual Feed My Starving Children MobilePack at the middle school on Nov. 13 and 14. Here is how to reserve a volunteer spot.
On Friday, Nov. 13, and Saturday, Nov. 14, volunteers gather at Haddonfield Middle School to hand-pack meals for children overseas. The Haddonfield Council of Churches hosts the annual Feed My Starving Children MobilePack. Ages 5 and up can join. Spots are reserved online.
If you want a concrete way to help before Thanksgiving, this is one of the clearest local options on the calendar.
What the event is
Feed My Starving Children is a Christian nonprofit that funds meal ingredients, then sends volunteer-packed food through partners to schools, orphanages and remote communities. The Haddonfield event page lists the dates as November 13 to 14, 2026, with a goal of more than 108,000 meals. give.fmsc.org/haddonfield
Lifestyles' Haddonfield Happenings says packing starts at 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13, at Haddonfield Middle School. Volunteers pack soy, rice, dehydrated vegetables, vitamins and minerals by hand. Haddonfield United Methodist Church confirms the Council of Churches hosts both days and that volunteers ages 5 and up are welcome. Monetary donations are also accepted.
How to sign up
- Go to give.fmsc.org/haddonfield.
- Choose a volunteer shift that fits your Friday evening or Saturday schedule.
- Bring whatever the confirmation email asks for (closed-toe shoes are typical for packing floors; follow FMSC's instructions for your shift).
Register early. Popular family shifts fill. If your preferred time is gone, pick another window rather than showing up unassigned.
If you cannot pack but want to help
The same event page takes donations and lets people start fundraisers. FMSC lists example gift levels on the page (for example, amounts framed as feeding children or families for a year). Use the site's current figures when you give; do not rely on a printed copy. Haddonfield UMC also points donors to its online giving with "Mission: Feed My Starving Children" as the fund.
Sponsorship tiers appear on the MobilePack page too, from child-level gifts up through village sponsorship. Those are optional and separate from showing up to pack.
Why it fits this month
November already has food drives and holiday prep on the local calendar. This one is different: you leave with sore feet and a count of meals boxed, not a leftover casserole. It sits the weekend before many Thanksgiving plans, which makes it easy to put on the family calendar now.
For more ways neighbors are gathering this fall, our November events guide keeps the bigger list. Walking loops for a calmer hour are in our Hopkins Pond and Cooper River piece.
