Haddonfield Election Results 2026: School Board, Open Space Question and How Haddonfield Voted
Three school board seats filled, a penny more for county open space, and better than half of Haddonfield voted. The unofficial numbers, town by town.
Haddonfield's three school board incumbents won new terms on Tuesday, Nov. 3, and Camden County voters approved raising the county open space tax from 2 cents to 3 cents per $100 of property value. Haddonfield backed that question by more than 5 to 1. About 53% of the town's registered voters cast a ballot, according to the county clerk's unofficial election night report.
School board: three for three
The race was uncontested. Three names, three seats. Here is how the votes landed across Haddonfield's 10 districts:
- Michael Nuckols: 3,568
- Jessica Drass: 3,412
- Nousheen Sadiq: 3,304
- Write ins: 712
That write in number stands out for a race with no challenger. The county report doesn't say who those votes went to. Either way, all three candidates are in.
The open space question passed, here and countywide
Countywide it was yes 91,928, no 24,748. That's about 79% yes.
Haddonfield was even more enthusiastic: 3,317 yes to 586 no, or about 85%.
What it does: the county levy for its Open Space, Recreation, and Farmland and Historic Preservation Trust Fund goes from 2 cents to 3 cents per $100 of value. The ballot's explanatory statement put the cost at $1.83 a month for the average Camden County homeowner, with the money going to water quality (the Cooper River is named), drinking water protection, natural areas and parks.
The honest takeaway for your wallet: it's a county line item, so it lands on every Haddonfield tax bill. The ballot didn't spell out which bill it first shows up on. We'll tell you when the county does. For how this year's bills work now, see our November property tax guide.
How Haddonfield voted on the big races
From the district by district report, Haddonfield's 10 districts combined:
- U.S. Senate: Cory Booker 4,101, Justin Murphy 1,307
- U.S. House, 1st District: Donald Norcross 4,044, Damon Galdo 1,352
Countywide, Booker beat Murphy 119,503 to 42,379 and Norcross beat Galdo 122,225 to 42,279. For the two county commissioner seats, Democrats Louis Cappelli Jr. (124,407) and Jonathan Young (122,854) won over Republican Robert Stone (43,448). SNJ Today reports Booker won a third term statewide.
Turnout
Haddonfield had 10,402 registered voters and 5,516 ballots cast, roughly 53%. District 9 was highest at 57.25%. Countywide turnout was 42.96%.
So Haddonfield showed up for a quiet ballot. That counts for something.
These numbers will move a little
Everything here is unofficial. The county's schedule says mail ballots that arrive by Nov. 9 are added daily, provisional ballots are counted Nov. 10 to 17, and certification is set for Nov. 18. None of the races above look close enough to flip.
