It is a big week to be a Bulldogs fan. Haddonfield Memorial High School hosts four South Jersey Group 2 playoff games, capped by football against Camden Eastside on Friday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m. And the cross country teams just made state history again.

Football: Camden Eastside at Haddonfield, Fri., Nov. 6, 7 p.m.

No. 2 seed Haddonfield (7-2) got here by holding off No. 7 Johnson 27-25 at home on Oct. 30, the same night as the Halloween parade. Lino Tete scored three touchdowns and James Farrell threw two TD passes, per NJ.com.

Next up is No. 3 Camden Eastside (8-1). Eastside came back to beat Ocean Township 24-21, led by freshman Iziah Guzman's two rushing touchdowns. The sectional final is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 13.

Field hockey and girls soccer: Tuesday, Nov. 3

On Election Day, No. 6 seed Haddonfield field hockey hosts No. 11 Oakcrest. No. 3 seed Haddonfield girls soccer hosts No. 14 Lacey. NJ.com does not list start times for either, so check before you go.

If they keep winning, field hockey plays again Nov. 5, 9 and 11, with Nov. 11 the sectional final. Girls soccer's next rounds are Nov. 6, 11 and 13.

Boys soccer: Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2 p.m.

No. 3 seed Haddonfield boys soccer hosts No. 14 Lindenwold. MaxPreps lists the 2 p.m. start. Further rounds are Nov. 7, 10 and 14.

Cross country: another record sweep

On Saturday, Oct. 31, at DREAM Park, HMHS swept both South Jersey Group 2 sectional titles. The boys won for the 22nd year in a row, a state record, and took their 44th title overall, also a record. The girls won for the 17th straight year, another state record, and their 34th overall. Haddonfield was one of only seven programs in New Jersey to sweep both team titles.

Twenty two straight years. Let that sink in.
