Haddonfield Planning Board 2026: Who's on It, When It Meets and What Came Before It

Eight members, two alternates, one night a month. Here's the board that shapes what gets built and changed in town.

Haddonfield's Planning Board meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at Borough Hall, and its next listed meeting is Tuesday, Dec. 1. It's the board that reviews Historic District applications, site plans and subdivisions, and it signs off on changes to the borough's Master Plan. If you want a say in what gets built or changed in town, this is one of the rooms to know.

Who sits on it

The borough says the board has eight members serving four year terms, plus two alternates serving one year terms. Its Planning Board page lists:

  • Shawn McCaney, chair
  • Susan Baltake, mayor's designee and vice chair
  • Frank Troy, commissioner
  • Tom Belton, Environmental Commission representative
  • Brittany Bonetti, Danielle Capozzi, Ernest Del Duke, Rusty Miller and Matthew Pirolli
  • Thomas Allen (Alternate I) and Michael Alberico (Alternate II)
  • Emily Givens, solicitor, and Kirsty Brockett, recording secretary

Meetings are in the Borough Hall Auditorium, 242 Kings Highway East, or by online conference.

What came before the board in 2026

Most months, the docket is Historic District cases, marked "HPC" on the borough's list. A few bigger items stand out on the 2026 page:

  • March 4: affordable housing. The board took up the borough's Fourth Round Housing Element and Fair Share Plan Amendment to the Master Plan, and a consistency review of Ordinance 2026-02, which creates two new affordable housing overlay zones. Resolutions for both are posted.
  • March 31 and May 5: Lullworth Hall, 427 Kings Highway. Lullworth Hall appeared as both a Planning Board case and an HPC case, with resolutions posted for each.
  • March 31: 95 Grove Street, Haddonfield Board of Education. This was a courtesy review, and the borough notes there is no resolution for it.
  • August 4: 130 N. Haddon Ave. A Planning Board case with a resolution posted.

Historic District cases this year included addresses on Kings Highway, Friends Avenue, Chestnut Street, West Cottage Avenue, North Haddon Avenue, Grove Street, Centre Street and Colonial Avenue.

The Nov. 4 meeting: still waiting

We previewed the Nov. 4 agenda: four Historic District applications (100 Warwick Ave., 108 Centre St., 283 Lake St. and 219 Warwick Ave.) plus two historic designation requests. As of Saturday evening, the borough page still showed no Nov. 4 minutes or resolutions. We'll write it up when they post.

How to follow along

  • Agendas, applications, minutes and resolutions go on the borough's yearly Planning Board page. Resolutions usually show up a meeting or more after a hearing.
  • Want to know which board handles your project? A variance goes to the Zoning Board, not this one. Our explainer on how the Zoning Board works breaks that down.
  • If you're near a property on the agenda, you can attend and speak during the public portion of that hearing.
