Haddonfield Planning Board Nov. 4: Four Historic District Applications and Two Designation Requests
Warwick Avenue, Centre Street, Lake Street and two possible new historic designations.
The Haddonfield Planning Board meets Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 7:30 p.m. at Borough Hall, 242 Kings Highway East. On the agenda: four historic district applications and requests to give two more properties historic designation. If you live near Warwick Avenue, Centre Street or Lake Street, this is the meeting to know about.
The four historic district applications
In Haddonfield, changes to homes in the historic district come to the Planning Board as HPC applications. This month the board will hear:
- 100 Warwick Ave.
- 108 Centre St.
- 283 Lake St.
- 219 Warwick Ave.
That last one is a repeat. 219 Warwick Ave. was also on the board's Oct. 6 agenda, so it is back for another round.
The agenda lists the addresses, not the details of each project. To see what each owner wants to do, you would need the application files or the meeting itself.
Two possible new historic designations
Here is the part that could have longer legs. In a professional session, the board will take up requests for historic designation of 30 Sylvan Lake and 591 Chews Landing Road.
Why care? Designation shapes what owners can change down the road. It is the kind of decision that outlasts any single renovation.
Housekeeping items
The board will also adopt resolutions for 27 Colonial Ave. and 120 Chestnut Ave. Both were heard Oct. 6. It will approve the Oct. 6 minutes too.
How to follow along
The agenda is posted as a Word file on the borough's 2026 Planning Board page. It appears to have gone up around Oct. 26. The next Planning Board meeting after this one is Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 7:30 p.m.
