Haddonfield Schools in November 2026: NJEA Days Off, Half Days and Thanksgiving Break

Every day off, half day and early dismissal for Haddonfield students this month, in one list.

Haddonfield students are off this Thursday and Friday, Nov. 5 and 6, for the NJEA Convention. After that, the month has two half days and a two-day Thanksgiving break. Here is every date parents need, so nobody gets surprised by a 12:30 pickup.

This week: no school Thursday and Friday

The district's 2026-27 calendar lists Nov. 5 and 6 as the NJEA Convention. Schools are closed both days. With the weekend, that's four days off in a row.

Need a plan for the kids? Markeim Arts Center, 104 Walnut St., runs a Fall Break School's Out Camp for ages 5 to 12, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days. The listing puts it at $120 to $230. Camp details

The rest of November, date by date

  • Wed., Nov. 11: End of the first marking period for middle and high school (44 days), per the district calendar. Borough Hall is closed for Veterans Day. The middle and high school calendar does not list Nov. 11 as a school closing.
  • Thu., Nov. 12: Board of Education meeting, 7 p.m., in the HMHS Library.
  • Fri., Nov. 20: Markeim Arts Center lists a Teacher Conference School's Out Day Camp, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., $120, "while teacher conferences are held." Check your school's notice for what that day means for your kid's grade.
  • Mon., Nov. 23: Half day session, elementary schools only.
  • Wed., Nov. 25: Half day session.
  • Thu., Nov. 26 and Fri., Nov. 27: Thanksgiving Recess. Schools are closed.

The calendar counts 17 student days in November. That's a short month. Plan your carpools now.

One thing to know about the calendar

The PDF on the district site is titled "Final BOE DRAFT." Dates can shift, and the elementary half day on Nov. 23 comes from the district calendar as posted on Haddonfield.Today. If a date matters for a work schedule or a flight, confirm it with your school office.

Looking ahead

December has a half day on Wed., Dec. 23, and Winter Recess runs Dec. 24 through Jan. 1. The district's first emergency make-up day is listed as "None," and later make-up days come out of Spring Break, March 22 to 26, 2027.
