Thanksgiving Week Drinks: Seasonal Beers and Ciders Near Haddonfield

Kings Road has a Winter Warmer on tap. Tonewood, Urban Village, and Yards are pouring fall and winter seasonals. Here is what the brewery pages confirm right now.

By Live Haddonfield ยท

Thanksgiving week is when holiday ales leave the seasonal shelf and hit local taps. In and around Haddonfield, the verified short list starts at Kings Road Brewing on Kings Highway, then fans out to Tonewood in Barrington and Oaklyn, Urban Village in Philadelphia, and Yards' winter lager. Tap lists move fast. What follows is only what brewery pages or live tap boards confirmed as of this writing.

This is not a repeat of our Beaujolais Nouveau and holiday wine nights guide. Beer and cider only.

Haddonfield: Kings Road Winter Warmer

Kings Road Brewing, 131 Kings Highway East, is the walkable stop. The live Haddonfield tap list on OnTap Connect includes Winter Warmer Spiced Holiday Ale at 7.5% ABV. That is the clear Thanksgiving-week seasonal on the board right now. The same list also shows year-round and rotating IPAs, Joe's Coffee Porter, and non-alcoholic options. Prices and pour sizes are posted there; they change, so treat the board as current, not permanent.

Brewery hours listed on the Kings Road site: Monday through Thursday 3 to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday noon to 11 p.m., Sunday noon to 8 p.m. (FAQ copy notes Tuesday through Thursday for some tasting-room wording. Call 856-427-8100 if you are cutting it close on a holiday eve.)

Barrington and Oaklyn: Tonewood fall pours

Tonewood Brewing runs taprooms at 50 Clements Bridge Road in Barrington and 215 W. Clinton Avenue in Oaklyn. Recent releases on the brewery site include Revolution Coffee Porter, the annual collaboration with Revolution Coffee in Collingswood, plus other cold-weather rotations such as Blackbird (German-style Schwarzbier) and Dreadnought (Munich Dunkel) when they are in season. Soft Focus Hefeweizen and summer lagers are not the Thanksgiving story.

Tonewood does not freeze a single Thanksgiving tap list on its homepage. Go for the coffee porter and whatever dark or malt-forward seasonal is up, and ask at the bar what just kicked.

Philadelphia: pumpkin still pouring, winter lager arriving

Urban Village Brewing, 1001 N. 2nd Street, lists Stingy Jack pumpkin ale (8.0% ABV) under Seasonals on its "what's on tap" page: spices and pumpkin, described as tasting like pumpkin pie. Bar hours there run noon to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and noon to midnight Friday and Saturday.

Yards Brewing, 500 Spring Garden Street, lists Long Jawns Winter Lager as a November release: 6.0% ABV, dark Munich and Carafa malts, available for taproom pickup and Philly delivery. That is the winter lager to put on a Thanksgiving week Philly run if you want bottles or cans to bring home.

Cider, said carefully

Hard cider menus around Haddonfield rotate harder than beer boards, and several nearby cidery or cider-week pages we checked did not show a stable Thanksgiving week tap list we could quote. Philly Cider Week's 2026 calendar wrapped earlier in November. Rather than invent a cider flight, skip unnamed pours. If cider is the goal, ask the bartender what is actually open that day, or buy labeled bottles from a shop that posts current stock.

How to use this list

  • Start downtown at Kings Road if you want a confirmed holiday ale without leaving Haddonfield.
  • Add Tonewood if you want a short drive and a coffee porter or dark seasonal.
  • Cross the river for Stingy Jack or Long Jawns when you already have a Philly errand.
  • Recheck live tap lists the day you go. Seasonals kick and die without notice.
